Our Story
De Barkley's artistic gifts were recognized at a very young age. She studied dance, voice and acting throughout her childhood where she got her first taste for hair and makeup artistry, creating looks to compliment her costumes and characters. A love for the entertainment world and a need to always "think out of the box" lead her to study marketing in college and become an executive working for such international media companies as Playboy Enterprise, MTV Networks and Lifetime Television.
But something was always missing...so after an exciting media career, De decided to make her cosmetology dream a reality and started her own business as a freelance hair and makeup artist. She attended Makeup Designory and Arrojo Cosmetology School then became a New York State licensed cosmetologist.
De's vibrant personality, calm demeanor and sincere professionalism puts people at ease and everyone that sits in her chair is given the star treatment. She believe true beauty comes from within and her mission is to make every person feel like their most beautiful and confident self.
